Once to start, twice to get a thrill before it starts.

The thing I always seem to forget is to unlock the doors after I use the remote start. D'ooohhhh!

Another FYI for those who don't know the system:

Pressing the remote start button once after a remote start event will turn the vehicle off.

Pressing the remote start button twice after a remote start event will eject anybody sitting in the front passenger seat on models with a sunroof.

I think the hit the lock button twice has come from some of the sales staffs. That is what I was told too when I picked up the SS. I knew it was once and just figured it was a odd gaff by the salesman.

As for hitting remote start twice all I get is a granade launcher fire sequence and the glove box door that falls open with with dry Martini that is shaken not stired.

OH, there might even be something in the owners manual to explain how it all works in case all else fails.

Did you say RTFM?

Manuals are for people who don't know how to use the internet.
