chevymanls6454 Jul 9, 2012 07:37 AM

The new tune shouldn't get worse.gas.mileage.as.long as I.stay out of boost right?

Breadfan Jul 9, 2012 09:27 AM

A good tune may actually get better gas mileage.

hyperv6 Jul 9, 2012 10:44 AM

The GM tune gets 1-2 more MPG.

GM claims it is because of the increased torque. It gets the vehicle moving sooner and you have more off throttle time. Note when you are off the gas all the way the gas is shut off from the engine. The new DI engines operate this way.
