brakes!
Welcome to my world... I was going to post a thread about this but I figure why bother... GM has been putting crappy brake pads in their cars since the late 70's... early 2000's gota bit better then back to square one....
I currently have 19,980 on mine and my pads are at 3mm.

Not all GM brakes are bad.
I just put some on my GP GTP and they were all worn even and I got almost 65,000 miles out of them.
My wife is hard on brakes but what ever GM used for brakes on that car is amazing. Most of her driving is in the city stop light to stop light. I noticed on the web most GTP have similar if not better wear. I saw a get 70,000-80,000 miles.

I have 59,980 miles on my 06 LS. At 55,231 I did a full service on my HHR, I was a little over I wanted to do it at 50K but oil life was still to high to change. Anyway Oil & filter, tire rotation, Brake inspection & adjust rears, new Morrow shocks & struts but still no brake parts! I have never turned rotors or replaced pads or shoes. Rear shoes & pads will be needed at 60K I feel. Did run-out on rotors still with in spec. close but still passed, pads have 35% left same with rear shoes. I don't drive like the old man that I am I just don't over heat the brakes and after a stop I don't keep High pressure on the brake peddle just hard enough to hold car from rolling. This is not the 1st GM car that has gone this far with out needing brakes. My 94 GMC 3500 with 147K+ has had only two set of pads & no rear shoes. The 98 suburban had 125k when I traded, One set of F/pads no rears. All I am saying is that It just hard to read about how bad GM brakes are, How bad GM rotors are ect.ect. It just takes some maitenance and a little more than just seeing how hard you can drive the s--- out of it. Not bit----g at any one just saying what I feel
so many reasons i should have stuck with ford. lol. now im getting SVC TIRE on the dic. any recommendations on brake pads? i called a few part shops, they have house names with lifetime and ceramics, im not gonna ever do ceramics again they get way too hot and warp rotors too easy.
