Many people were certain that the Brembos would be available by Apr 1, because of the Cobalt SS production starting, but I've not heard a peep. Anyone know anything about it?

 

I read on several magazine reviews that Brembos were going to be optional on the HHR SS. Obviously that's not the case. But I would be interested in them if they do come available.

 

yeah the silence from GM is deafening.

 

I doubt any 08's will end up with them. Ordering for 08's is over now so the only way you can get one with Brembos is to hope that a dealer in your area:

- ordered something with an LSD in their last 08 MY order for inventory and...
- that said vehicle is built as late as possible (early to mid June) prior to 09 start of production

Maybe a few folks will get lucky...

I really wanted the Brembos but wasn't confident that the above scenario would work out for me


Maybe one day I'll swap the rotors and calipers for the flashy Brembo stuff.

Something else that's interesting with the Cobalt brakes vs/ the HHR... the 'balt gets larger vented rear rotors, compared to the solid rear rotors on the HHR. booooooo

 

We have been working on them for the past 2 weeks.Should have the front completed next week.Yes they are Brembo calipers,we use 14" rotors as well.

 

Is it just me or do none of the links on the ADM Performance site work?

Nothing posted for the hhr yet -only 3 weeks old and still gathering data.

This is not set in stone.

 

Brembo brakes will not be available for HHR SS until the fall this info comes from a GM Performance Engineer who Chadpuska and me talked to during the EcoTech Meet in Columbus, Ohio. The 2008 Cobalt SS he brought for the meet and had a presentation on it.

 

Any idea on a price?
