does anyone know how to find the build number for our cars

Would it be sequential? If someone could find out the VIN # for the first one off the line, then we might be able to deduce our build # from the VIN.... I am most likely wrong but I would like to think my car is #968 based upon build #s, date the car was built, and the VIN.
