I feel your pain--it isn't my cats jumping, it's my stinking neighbors beasts.
One of them even jumped *into* the car when I was clay-barring it the other day!

I have a cover my sister got me at Costco, just a basic one for a mid-size car (maybe a larger one?) and it fits fine. Problem for me is I would have to put it on by myself (not easy) and personally think it would get scratched more if the cats jump on it. They are attracted to it for some reason.

My S10 was covered and the little beasties kept jumping from the cab into the bed and not knowing it wasn't solid, ripped right through the cover. So Indy (the truck) is now uncovered again.

Good luck!

I have a similar problem: sand covered tree frogs. They hop all over my car with sand stuck to their feet, leaving little spiderweb swirlies in the clear coat and a trail of sand all over the body and glass. Putting on a cover just attracts them, as it's a nice hiding spot underneath it.

Help keeping cats off

We keep our black HHRr covered with cover from Pep Boys(no room in garage(Grand, Nat, 67 Stang) we have a device called a Scat Mat on hood & it does excellent job keeping critters off. It is a plastic mat with wires embedded. uses 2 AA bat. doesn't hurt felines . They get the idea quickly. Don't have siteaddress right now(at wk.) send me a PM if you want site.

I find treefrogs everywhere, I was at a stoplight and one crept out of my side mirror and stared me down...eerie

Agreed! Now that I think of it; I dont think I've even seen a cat anywhere around my property. Shoot em all and make coats out of em .

Another non-lethal deterrent for cats on the hood is to place mousetraps atop a sheet, blanket, etc. up there. They learn quickly it's not a fun place to be.
