Customization

Hey all, I'm a new HHR owner. Mine is a 2007 and I had never even seen an SS model until I looked up my own car. I love the way the SS model looks, so what I want to do is make mine look like it. Not trying to add power except maybe an aftermarket muffler. Anyone on here know where I can find replacement and/or body kits or something of the sort that will fit my model year? I know my year is one off from the intro of the SS, but I imagine to bodies can't actually be any different in terms of measurements. Anything helps, thanks😊

Welcome to the site, the SS clones are aplenty, most are the front and rear bumper covers and the front grille, GM even had a kit for the front end

Guess it would depend on how much you want it to look like an SS.
Bumper covers (with the SS foglights) and grille would get you the "kind of looks like a SS'. You would need the rear SS spoiler and side skirts to complete the body. The SS 18 inch rims/tires would be needed to achieve the look. And, if you really wanted it to look like a clone, you could add the SS emblems.
Also, If you wanted to do the interior then you would need a complete set of SS seats, door panels and the SS steering wheel.

Don't forget springs, so it sits at the right ride height.

And an aftermarket muffler won't add any power.

Now if you’re handy, here’s a way to get somewhat of that SS look in the front grille

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/appe...ll-done-13829/

then if she finds your handsome and handy! Well then get yourself an SS grille and slice and dice , like this member did! Now if you’re changing out the bumper and grille, this is not required work, but if you’re on a budget and keeping the LS/LT front bumper, then you have to make it fit....

If you want your 2007 to look like ss, you really wanna sell your model add some money and get real SS. It still will be cheaper than trying to "convert" one into ss.
