Was curious and looked at the few wood / simulation HHR Dash kits.... CarID, etc.
Noticed most stated NOT for SS Models... the SS version may have been discontinued over the years.
My 08 LT & 2LT Panels are different in some interior trim than the O9 SS so eyeing any difference isn't productive.
Is there a large difference in 09-10 SS & LT Interior Trim Pieces?
If purchased the LT trim kit that had the Power Windows in the Doors, and not using the Automatic Trim since not applicable on 5 speed.
Are there any significant differences? To my eye all the same: Air Ducts, Door Trim/Power Windows, Instrument cluster surround trim, radio / climate controls, speaker trims.
Parts I'm not certain would be the Center console sections, cup holder tops, E-Brake top, etc.
I'm not looking to use all 100% of the pieces, so I'm assuming the LT kit would work on the SS.
Lastly... are these quality kits, will they remain on over time, cold, humidity?
Just a touch of wood grain in my eyes might be a nice looking.
A few threads showed photos and they added a nice look.
The ‘08 LS/LT still have the window switches in the console.
the ‘08 thru ‘10 SS and the ‘09 thru ‘11 LS/LT have the window switches in the drivers door.
So, may be order a kit for one of those years to get the wood grain parts for the door bezel.
On a personal note, I’d consider either painting or wrapping the trim you want covered, the plastic and double sided tape is to thick for my personal taste.
Some red paint
Note the top of the waterfall dash vents not covered
I like the 2LT matte black , it is plastic but it wipes up easy

Thanks OldBlue. I agree on 08 window switches, that's why I asked. I have 2 x 08's and wasn't comparing the 09 SS to 08 LT. I don't have a 09-10 LT handy to compare to my 09 SS.
That's a good point on the thickness standing out a little, that does look poor if inserts aren't designed nicely. Some of the vinyl products also look more decal than wood inlays. A lot of factory OEM wood inlays stick out similar. My Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland's wood inserts, as most stick out; althogh the glossy smooth curve edges give it a nice look... if one likes the wood inlay look... many don't.
I was questioning the 09-10 LT and SS if any differences on interior trim? The various sites list 09-10 but not for SS of same years. I didn't see where a 09 SS trim was different than a 09-10 LT. I asked 2 Sales sites, both said the 09 Kit wasn't compatible for 09 SS... it was a Sales person, and I asked if there were a few trim pieces different but overall similar pieces and they restated it wasn't for the SS. Granted they're going by screen information, not practical.
I'm curious what interior trim is different between LT and SS.
I think I'd still order a trim kit and just not use what ever that trim piece might be... I know it wouldn't be the majority of pieces. I was curious if the console tops, or lower dash change trays or other little trims were the same.
I agree on color options too... I considered the red or redish direction. But keep leaning back to a Burl type wood.
