Dealer installed sunroof?

My dealer has an SS w/all the options in it I want save the sunroof. How bad are the dealer installed versions? Thanks for your input.

Welcome to the forum.
I would find out who does their accessory install work for them and go and talk to the shop. Find out what the after-market roof will look like and how it will work. Also find out warranty period.
Chances are, you will pay more than the $750.00 fee that the factory charges.
Bottom line, do your home work and don't let the dealer rip you off on what they want to charge for the sun-roof.
Good luck and let us know how you make out?

I agree, keep searching until you find the one you want. With the factory installed sunroof.

Bad idea. Aftermarket sunroofs (1) tend to leak and (2) tend to look pretty crappy. If you absolutely must have the sunroof, have the dealer find an SS with one, or order one equipped exactly as you want it.

I agree with the rest of the gang. I would not seriously consider it. That is asking for problems and they often are trouble down the road. I had a leaker in the past, and it was not fun!

Have the dealer do a locate for you or do some searching youself on the Chevy internet site. That is how I found mine... Good luck!

Number 3) Makes the car have less value.
