Did they ever??

My buddy here at work has a Camaro SS, without the SS badging and body panels. I know that they've done this sort of thing in the past.

Does anyone know if they have done this with the HHR SS?

Thanx, Glenn |B)

No, if it has the LNF (2.0l) engine it has the SS badging.

As stated, no. However, badges are quickly removed and you could change the side skirts and rear bumper out for those on the regular HHR. The front bumper would be the problem with the intercooler.

Why would you want to spoil the good looks of the SS?

Some people prefer the look of the non SS and some like to be "Stealth".

I thought the OP was asking if GM ever made an SS (sleeper) without the badging and body panels. I think Hillsdale was explaining what could be done to disguise an SS. The only reason I can see to do this is if you wanted a sleeper for street racing, so nobody would know it was an SS. Like Hillsdale said though it would be hard to hide the intercooler...

I was just curious, I like the looks of the SS, but to me living in Massachusetts, that front bumper might act like a plow during the winter.

I would never wanna change an SS to look like an LT, that's silly, again just wondering is anyone had heard of SS's coming thru by accident in LT, external setup.

Seen the TurboVan, pass thanx anyway.
