D'ohh !!
D'ohh !!
Nearly 2 weeks ago my wife came out to find the rear passenger door dented in. Apparently, a woman backed into it & she had MORE THAN ENOUGH room and.....get this, there was a witness who saw the lady get out of her Chevy Traverse, check out the damage and got back in and just left.
Leaving the scene ! And this lady was in her 50's-60's, you would think she would be an upstanding citizen and would do the right thing, but nope !
And this was also captured on the building's tape, so the cops got her plates & other info and caught up to her. Thats a very good thing !
But we are still waiting for insurance to get back to us, so we can get some body work on it. Overall, its really not that bad, but sucks nonetheless !

You know, this happens more frequently than you can believe. It's just a lack of responsibility.
Here in Arizona, we have a recently elected State Attorney General who is under Federal investigation for to many improprieties to list. Unknown to him, he was being followed by the FBI. While he was on a little jaunt with his girlfriend (he's married), THEY witnessed him backing into another car in a parking lot. The vehicle sustained about $1000 in damage. He and the girlfriend just drove away. The FBI turned him in for Hit & Run Private Property, No Injury.
He denied the occurrence until photos were displayed. So far, he will be charged. Class 3 misdemeanor.
The TOP LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER OF THE STATE, AND HE DRIVES AWAY.
Anyway, sorry to here about it. Hope everything works out to your satisfaction.

I'm sitting in a safeway parking lot a few years back and a van tries to park and hits a grand am...then backs up and parks alittle further down the way...she gets out wearing a safeway smock and goes into the store..no note nothing!!!! so I got the plate# wrote a note and put it on the grand am....its incredible since there was obvious damage...got a call from the grand am and she got her justice.
Damn that sucks no matter what. The real sucky part is that there is probably not even a hint of damgae on the Traverse. Very glad to here that they caught up to her.
I was walking to my old 93 Pathfinder, you know the Hardbody years, and this 50-60 yo lady was getting into her MiniCooper and slammed her door right into mine. The look on her face as she watched me get into my truck that she just hit in front of me was priceless. BUT it still astonished me that she seemed to be more concerned with weither I actually saw it or not then was she sorry for doing it. With that truck I knew I had zero damage as the Hardbody name is accurate so I calmly roled my window down and asked if she was alright. She mentioned something about being worried about damage and I told her I would be more worried about her car then mine. She actually had the audacity to say that that IS what she ment. The nerve of some people. Just because a car is older then yours does not mean you can trash it buyt worry about yours. While I may not have been worried about my truck she should have been.
