And that eBay one is a manual. So, what, one of 40 SS panels then? Rare, certainly. I'm not sure $15K rare. Really, how can anyone put a value on these things. They're collectible to the guys that love the car and that's a pretty small group. That said, I would love to have the eBay car.. just not in the budget.

A pretty small group loved the Cobra, Plymouth Superbird, and so on, an even smaller group can afford to write that cheque!

True, but those cars tend to be considered a collectible that would retain and increase in value over the years. I can't see the SS in any form attain those sorts of values since they are/were considered an econobox from Chevrolet. Perceived values, I guess.
