if you google horsepower from et and weight there is a formula that will give you the approximate horsepower to wheels
I'm showing 275 at wheel which is about 343 at the flywheel.
that's based on 3580 lbs and 13.71 1/4mile

google is your friend...
I just googled; 'hhr ss automatic engine specs' & got 465,00 results...
2008 Chevrolet HHR SS - First Drive - Motor Trend
I doubled my torque...
Remember both the auto/manual 2.0 engines are exactly the same, so the automatic engine still makes the same power...
Our PCM is basically a 'torque-control' type of PCM...
The PCM just limits the torque with the automatic...
This can be easily changed in about 5 seconds in the PCM, by using HPTuner software.
There is a 'table' in the PCM for 'percent of available torque' by gear/RPM.
With the manual, this table is set to 100% everywhere in all columns/rows.
By changing this table in an automatic HHR SS PCM to 100% everywhere, the full power, of the stock PCM, returns to the automatic....

Tune would be one of the first things to get. Either mail in tune from zzp or trifecta or if you know something about tuning, buy hptuners. Another is gutting the 2nd cat converter to free up the exhaust flow. Gutting it won't set any dtc codes.

Hi I am new here. I just bought an Auto 2009 HHR SS and am really interested in getting at least 300hp and decent torque without blowing stuff apart! I was wondering if you could shed some light on some parts for me and tuning suggestions. I do have GM Stage one 3 bar sensors in hand to start! (she had been taken care of and not beat also)
My experience with the GM kit has been nothing short of extremely satisfying. After replacing my 107K mile turbo with a new take off from ZZP, this setup is as perfectly calibrated performance tune as I've ever seen. Mine hits 20 psi boost all day long and about 23 after a no lift shift. I know I'm still limited in 2nd gear, but I'll tune that out myself with HPTuner. Every day driving is butter smooth and still gets killer fuel mileage.
