Front Grille Emblem

How about replacing the Chevy BowTie on the front grille with a
SS emblem

You got it right! Just like the SS Muscle Cars of the '60s & '70s! Cool !

Have an HHR SS tentatively purchased, hopefully on the road with it next weekend.

Came here in advance looking for little cosmetic mods to make it more unique.

Besides debadging at least the side doors, also thought about replacing the "HHR" and "SS" stock emblems on the back with an old school either "Turbo Charged" script I saw somewhere or a "Supersport" script (or both, but that's too much), or older "SS" emblem on the back where the HHR emblem is now, and the turbocharged on the other side. Dunno, kicking ideas around.

IMO, the current SS on the doors is overkill, the SS on the back is fine, but I like the look of the script.

Not a big fan of the HHR block letters. We just came out of the Optra (same font as that, and same badge that others are putting on the hood I see). Just looks a little too sterile, although I knows its the same font GM wide currently.

If a vendor came out with a script, or a subtle change on the "HHR" I'd look into that.

Interior dash and door Chevrolet scripts look intriguing too.

Anyways, back to the topic of the grill, what about a smaller, but similar as pictured there, "SS" emblem attached to the grille (maybe clipped onto the grille from behind), say in the lower left corner? A subtle look to it.

I bought a matching SS emblem on ebay, easy to find and choose the best price. There are 2 sizes. I have mine but I haven't had time yet to install a couple of studs so I can put it on the lower right side of the grill with a back plate. I'm afraid the 3M adhesive won't have enough contact area on the mesh grill to secure it.

Where'd you get it and can it be done with white letters?

SS cars from the muscle car era had the SS logo front back and on the sides. Perfectly fine the way it is. I think the SS badges from a 70 Chevelle would look really cool.
