Boost lag?

I want to start this new thread in regards to my 2009 hhr ss I'll give you a little info on the car first, it is set up with an hx35 turbocharger with an external tial atmosphere Watergate and an atmosphere BOV. And custom manifold and custom piping, I recently underwent a lot of work for the car and here is what happened. Car ran fine, 11psi running good, but I began to get a timing rattle from the tensioner so I had to replace it, I had been running the car hard that night and the next morning I start it up to put in on the lift and it did not rattle anymore, car ran perfect except the car did not build boost properly anymore and instead of my BOV making a woosh sound it flutters, it will still rev up in the rpms to build maximum boost but won t hit 10psi until about 4500 rpms in a very slow matter, I've tightened all clamps, I have no play in the turbo, so I'm assuming it's my BIG but before I drop money I want to bring it up first, also my boost hate recently stopped working and yesterday my cam phaser gage stopped working

Since it's your 1st post, welcome to the site.

I'm not understanding some things here so you need to help us out so we can offer some suggestions. Tensioner, are you referring to the chain tensioner? If so when you replaced it did you release it correctly from the top with the valve cover off?

"so I'm assuming it's my BIG" did you mean BOV?

" also my boost hate recently stopped working and yesterday my cam phaser gage stopped working" explain this a little better or is this a joke of some sort

na, I haven't really been driving it, and yes my boost gage says data not available and well as my cam phaser gage, and yes it was my timing chain tensioner not sure how it was done I just had my mechanic do that for me hadn't rattled since fixed and my oil pressure went back up after replacing

Actually one is the timing chain the other is the waterpump and balance shafts chain, they should be changed at the same time, hey you have it apart and are all greasy anyways, type of thingy.
