Getting a Stock of Parts?

Seeing all the problems getting some important wear parts for the HHR SS, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to stock up on some hard-to-get parts for the future.

I'm not too concerned about the engines or turbos as these are available.

I am thinking axle shafts, 5-speed shift cables, unique suspension parts, etc.

What do you think?

My 16 yr old son loves to drive my 2009 HHR SS 5-speed, and he want to get one for himself. So I may have 2 SSs soon.

Yes, if you can get those hard to find parts , get them like LCA’s for the ball joints, drive axles, you know the list!
Knowing you , you will label them clearly and store them

I do not have a SS, but I am making a stock of spare parts for my LT. This is very reasonable.
Two directions: a consumable (brake pads, bulbs, filters, etc.); what will be required for replacement at the expiration of the term (brake hoses, timing, hubs). In addition, something that may suffer in an accident (headlights, bumpers).
Where to get all this? I'm just looking at discount sales information. And if I know that somewhere there is a car “in disassembly” (sold in parts), I can also buy something that may be needed in the future. If it's cheap, need to buy it. The trouble will come - you are ready for it, there is no trouble - these parts only become more expensive, you can sell profitably.

I found these at Summit Racing Equipment. It says they fit the HHR SS manuals. Also I checked the manufacturer's web site (GSP North America) and they say it fits both sides:

The sub model window is not filled in, they might fit a 2009, LS or LT, most likely not an SS spline count is that correct?
Here’s the information given when asked if they fit his SS
