HHR SS Auto 0-60 times

Every article I've read about the HHR SS has been written based on a test drive of the 5 speed. I believe they list the 0-60 time at 6.7 seconds for the 5 speed. Has anyone read an article about the testing of the auto, and what 0-60 times would I expect? I know it is slower because of the tranny and the deboost issue, but how much slower is it than the 5 speed? So far I've only test drove the 5 speed, but was not able to get it up past about 50 mph.

I read (somewhere ) it was 6.9

I have the auto, but I've never timed it. I do it all the time, and it's wicked fast.

That's still better than my Grand Prix with the 3.8L engine.

Auto 0 to 60 times

0 to 60 in 7.5 secs sounds about right. I have seen 6.3 listed for the stock manual, but I think that is with no lift shifting. Here is a link to some other chevy 0 to 60 times and if you look up enough times of some of the older muscle cars the HHR SS isn't too shabby.

BTW, how is your car holding up mechanically and how many miles does it have?

Below is a link to some 0 to 60 times of some of the older muscle cars as well as some newer models:

Toy'd and tuned they will turn sub six seconds, no problem. I think I'm in the 5.7-.8 range now, as it will run in the eighties at the 1/8. in the high 8 low 9 second area.

Auto and Turbo usually play well with each other, and can turn a pretty good time. Don't forget that those times are based upon the 235HP Auto and the 260HP 5sp not cars that have had clutches, pipes, excetra added.

It doesn't apply to us but the 2.0 Turbo in the SKY and Solstice actually turn a little better time with the Auto vs. 5sp.
