HHR SS Engine ground

Hi i paid a shop to rebuild the engine in my 2010 HHR SS. After 5 months they told me they cannot get it to turn over for me to pick it up. a month back i went to see the car and found what looked like missing ground wires on the side of the block as i had seen in a diagram of a standard HHR.I also shorted the starter relay and nothing as if the engine is not grounded. I removed the starter and i can see the stud sticking out of the block with no grounds attached and i cannot find any loose wires with lugs to connect them. My questions is does the HHR SS not suppose to have these two grounds at this stud like other standard HHRs have? And if not then how is the engine grounded. The third ground to the radiator support is there where is is suppose to be. Does anyone have photos and or diagram for HHR SS? The fact that the starter did not turn when jumping the relay says volumes about a ground issue. The +12 to the starter and relay are fine

Did you think to take a picture? I don't know where you are looking. The main ground is on top of the transmission.
This might help: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...cations-56504/

Why did you pick up a vehicle that was not properly fixed? Is this Bubba's back yard shop?

I had no choice they were constantly telling me the are changing another part, first the keyfob then the battery then the ignition then the fuel pump then even the steering column. I felt if i left it there any longer the car would be completely destroyed. I should take them to court and i may however i need surgery on my ear for cancer and i have a 2K deductible so i really want to try to fix this a sell it since it now has a rebuilt trans and motor assuming they had a clue when rebuilding the motor

I know there is a ground issue i just need to find it

Just as bad a Bubba Ozzie car doctor. As someone in business for 40 years i do not understand how places stay in business for years like this.

A bolt and a ground strap to the rad cradle should do the trick.
