Hi guys;

I was wondering what's the GM part number for the HHR SS keyfob (the one that has remote start capability). My HHR SS came with the 15777636 keyfob, which does not have the remote start button (on top of the LOCK and UNLOCK button). When I navigate through the DIC functions, I can enable/disable the remote start capability, but since the keyfobs I have lack the remote start button, the remote start feature is unavailable.

This is bizarre, since the original GM window sticker that came with my vehicle, does not mention that option. When the service manager walked me through the different setups of the DIC, he was surprised to find out that I could enable/disable that function on my vehicle. He said ''we'll sell you the two keyfob you need (for $200.00), program them, and then you'll have remote start.

Anyone here has this bizarre BCM on your vehicle?

 

Do you have a M/T or A/T no remote start on a M/T

 

I have A/T.

 

The fob with remote start is #15114374, but I think you should make sure that your car came with remote start before spending the money on new fobs and programming.

 

whats the easiest way to know if you have the remote start? Can you eyeball it?

 

If I recall correctly if it is a Auto it will have remote start since it was standard on all AT SS.

 

When you navigate the settings in the DIC (ex:where you go to reset the oil life), you'll find the setting: Remote Start: Enable---Disable

 

Look on the RPO code list in your lower glove box. If you have AP3 you have remote start.

 

its a 200 dollar upgrade on almost any gm vehicle with auto trans. all it is , is new key fobs and a computer flash. there are no parts to install
