HHR SS no arm rests

So I am ready to buy an SS, but, NO ARM RESTS!!

I am so addicted to arm rests I don't think I could drive a car without them. Do you think the Automatic SS will have Arm Rests??

I doubt it will because the SS has the racing seats. I never really noticed they dont have armrests.

You might be ready to buy (me too) but GM is not ready for us, yet!
Yes, I think the automatic will have arm rests, but the 5 speed in the SS will keep your right arm occupied.

Yup! Only the automatic version of the HHR SS will have an armrest. From the official Chevrolet press release:

"Automatic-equipped SS models feature a specific console that includes a flip-down armrest and a pocket large enough to store a cell phone."

I know the manual has more horsepower, but no armrest??? C'mon! If I'm not comfortable, forget it! Automatic version, here I come!!!

Close, 235 HP. From the official Chevrolet press release:

"The HHR SS is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter Ecotec DI engine that delivers 260 horsepower (194 kW) and 260 lb.-ft. of torque (353 Nm) with the standard five-speed manual transmission. It is rated at 235 horsepower (175 kW) with the available automatic transmission."

Recommended, but not compulsory, I think.

By the way, does anyone have or know where to find 2006 and 2007 HHR total production figures? Thanks.
