HHR SS For Sale Too Good To Be True?

A little surprised to see that there are a few HHR SS's showing up like the one below that appear to be in nice shape for under 11k
If this one was closer I would at least look into it.
Are the 2.0 motors with the turbo more prone to the typical HHR issues or is it on a case by case deal on how much the previous owner has beet the car up.
IS the suspension rougher to drive in than the 2lt suspension?
Not sure whats up with the chrome grille in the ad below?
Anyone driving an ss through rough winter conditions with or without snow tires?
Any how mainly curious on the price being so low for an SS
Not sure if I could give up my heated leather seats thoug

The door handles and rear beauty have been altered. Not car color matched like the factory. And that grill looks terrible. Regular HHR grill in an SS makes it look like the hood isn't closed all the way.

I would have to wonder why they placed all the chrome parts on it, especially the grill.......

Perhaps its not an SS at all. Id ask for pics of engine bay.
Either way, theres a lot of parts swapping going on there. Id rather pay a little more for one thats not been played with.

Read the carfax and looked at some additional photos. It is a real SS, but has had 3 previous owners. Something is just not right about this car.

Interesting, but not in a buy/sell situation.

Read the CarFax. Car has too much history with questionable ownership and service.

I wouldn't even bother looking at it, especially at that price.

"Fireman" caught it....

There is a red SS and a modified black panel (non-ss) at Interstate Ford in Miamisburg, Ohio. Was gonna take some pics, but forgot my phone. Might look there if you are searching.

Hmmm, 3 owners in 3 states, non matching components, and a too low to be true price. I'm thinking a vehicle that started out life in Arizona, got wrecked and sold for salvage at auction, then ended up in Texas and later Oklahoma. Somewhere along the line it had its title "Scrubbed", removing a salvage stamp along the way. It happens all the time and I view any vehicle that has changed states after being sold at auction as suspicious.

it looks almost like someone got in an accident and had half a$$ed body work done to it... i would only buy that if they gave you an excellent warranty. 11k is a decent price. but high mileage in my opinion is a deterent. wierd body changes too:yuck: you can find a much better SS with lower miles around 15-16k if you search hard enough.

I smell trouble, 3 owners 3 states 3 times the reason to take a pass on this ride!!
