Hit 17lbs of boost is it normal

Hit 17lbs of boost is it normal

I down shifted from 4th to 2nd and it just perfectly started to fly... WHen I did that the guage read 17lbs which stayed there untill I shifted. I just want to know if this normal.

Yes, anywhere between 15 and 18 without GMS1.

Thanks guys.. Is this car really reliable to power shifts on occassion because I have always beat on cars but because this one is new I am hesitant becasue I dont' want to blow the clutch as that is not covered under warranty.

my auto maxed out at about 17psi when i got on it....before the programmer
doesnt low elevation throw it off a bit?

NO clue that was the first time I have seen that much.. Maybe it was because it was from a downshift.. When I just floor it 15LBS is the norm..

You will see a little more from time to time depending on the weather, alt and load on the engine.

Once you get the GMPD upgrade kit most of us average 21-24 PSI.
