Horn options
Anyone replaced the wimpy HHR horn with something louder/more elegant/or more appropriate sound for a performance vehicle? My son has an actual Train Horn on his Yukon, but I think that's a bit much for everyday. Anyone?

Yup - just use the search tool at the top of the page and enter "horn replacement" for links to numerous threads where owners have replaced their horns. And there is info on special wiring needed for specialty horns.

Just looked into this. From what I came up with the Fiamm high note p/n 72002 is not available from Advance, Pep Boy's ect. Fiamm does make a high note horn available at Pep Boy's with the p/n AM80S. This is their standard version and not the Highway horn which has a higher decibel.
This paired with your stock low note horn will work fine. The horn in the HHR is made by Fiamm. |

You're saying the stock horn is a low note ? Not on mine. Mine is a single note, weak twerp sound. If anything, I would think it needs a separate lower note(pitch) added to it.

Great horned toads, thar's tons of options, I like the 60's three note Caddie horns, you'll need a relay and wire kit to the battery.

If I remember correctly Sleeper used a three note Cadillac horn.

Use the search function "Horn replacement"
Fwiw. I have probably read all the threads regarding horn replacement. Over the years, I've done a few horn replacements and upgrades on my own vehicles and customers cars before. |
Give this thread a read by clicking the link below, I'm in the "Triple-Tone Caddy Horn" camp myself.....

I replaced mine with a twin-horn setup from a late model (early 2000's) junkyard Chevy Malibu. Bolted right on and is a LOT louder.
