I just bought a rough 2009 HHR SS

Man, seats are good, shift boot isn't. Rear-end impact. Not too bad though, just enough to set off curtain bags. BUT I LOVE HER!

Copper orange-colored, Tinted. Slick as hell, quick, I am going to baby this thing. 160-180K. I BOUGHT IT FOR A STEAL. That is the best part. I can stomach 2k-4k on this how cheap I bought it.

I got the bug.

I've owned 80's turbo dodge, worked on plenty of cars, anything I should know (the airbags info would be nice)?

Tons and tons of info on the site, best suggestion is to just poke around the HHR SS and HHR SS service forums, even the 2.0L engine forums have great info. Tons of how to tutorials posted too. Use the search tool and just start reading.

Welcome to the site, X2 what he said. And for parts we have a parting out guy in our Classified ads.

If the curtain airbags deployed; you will need a new/reprogrammed SDM (airbag brain), somebody with a computer (like Tech2), a new rollover sensor, 2 new curtains, maybe a new yaw sensor. The seatbelts probably locked up also, no repair just replace.

Shop around online for parts, new recommended. Don't worry about all of the "explosives" warnings, just disconnect the negative post of the battery for 20 minutes before touching anything.
