When will vehicles begin to arrive at the dealerships?
The HHR SS is scheduled to begin production December 2007 and will begin arriving in Dealerships in January 2007

The HHR SS will be delivered with Doc Brown with it's Delorean time machine

HMMM, only rated at 23 mpg. Makes me wonder why they didn't just put a V6 in it.

What are the fuel economy ratings for the HHR SS?
You get 260 horsepower & 27 mpg on the highway. That's a 432 mile range!
That's what it says, 27 mpg.

AHHH...OOPS, hehehe, Still, the V6 idea is still cool though! Would probably get the same mpg. How about the 3.8l, then turbo it like the old GNX....Now tht excites me, the only thing that would be better is rear wheel drive. I gotta stop, too many ideas with this line of thought.

And what would you give up and how much would you pay for GM to "fit" this in the current size/area???.......the a/c, the steering, the dash, the strut towers???

Oh well, it is nice to dream!!

Just curious... if you get the SS seats... does that mean you don't get the front heated ones?

I'll stick with the leather heated ones if that's the case... dunno if I can order it like that though.

Hi jlenko,

This is not much help and I could be right out to lunch here, I tried to find the right threads but there is getting to be a lot of information on the SS and I couldn’t find what I was looking for, (no patience today) but in my not very reliable old age memory I think there are two different drivers seats available for the SS (one super racer) and I think that maybe the regular SS is heated? Maybe somebody knows?

Here is a question maybe someone here can answer.
I see in the GM release, GM is recommending using premium fuel, but not required.
Does anyone know if regular unleaded is an option, because I want my wife to have a daily driver, but if using middle grade, or premium is fuel is needed, I rather just get her the 2.4 motor, and mod an HHR LT into a clone SS!
