This is very interesting indeed. My HHR SS with the kit upgrade experienced symptoms similar to this and it took 8 trips to 3 different dealers to get them to unwrap the wires to check for corrosion. The fixed that in November and the problem doesn't appear to have returned but I will have to keep this post handy if it does as I am not confident it is totally fixed because the car still feels like it has less power than I had when the kit was first installed.
