And I circled the EVAP purge valve. It's in a different place on 2.2 & 2.4.

https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...64adc605a8.png yeah, I unplugged the blue connector to it last night when I was working on it to move it outta way (so I won’t damage accidentally.) and it was left unplugged! Totally my fault. now I can focus back on P0101. Thank you again! |
Update:
i havent seen P0101 come back. I like not to see the CEL but at the same time, I really want to know/ understand why it came on in the first place everyday for about a week and all of the sudden it’s gone. I ordered “Blue Driver” (Bluetooth OBD2 scanner) so I can monitor my car from now on if/when any issue come up. |
P0101 is a type B DTC,
Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC - Type A or Type B • The control module turns OFF the MIL after 4 consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail. • A current DTC, Last Test Failed, clears when the diagnostic runs and passes. • A history DTC clears after 40 consecutive warm-up cycles, if no failures are reported by this or any other emission related diagnostic. • Clear the MIL and the DTC with a scan tool. |
Or the famous battery lobotomy!

Update
just as I expected:
now that I have an OBD2 scanner, ECU has been behaving. No code (p0101), no CEL. Car has been running great. Whats still puzzling me is that I don’t know what fixed the issue.... but since it’s running good now, I don’t worry about anything and just enjoy my new-to-me 2008 SS. I LOVE this car and enjoying every second of driving it! I hope I didn’t jinx myself... lol I really thank you all of you who gave me suggestions/ input on issues I was experiencing! |
Ours is not to reason why, these things just happen. Enjoy that SS
