Found the 245's to be better for racing around, put the cush riding 255's on the work truck.....

Good info on this thread, glad I found it. Im turning my SS into a canyon carver(more than it is stock) not a drag car. When my stock size tires wear out im looking to go wider as well. Has anyone noticed a significant difference in handling between 235, 245 or 255s? What about staggering front to back. When I had a Mustang I had 255/40 on the front and 275/40 on the back and it handled like a dream, and before you ask, yes I know I wont be able to rotate the tires. I also plan on lowering it so not sure if that matters.
