My "Fast and Furious" moment

A couple of weeks ago while I was in Jacksonville, Florida I had some fun with my HHR SS. After spending the day helping my son build some display frames for an upcoming artists market I was heading back to my motel for the night. I approached the entrance ramp for the expressway as two ricers with fart cans entered the ramp from the other side, I had the yield sign so I let them go ahead. The ramp went from two lanes to one and the red ricer was attempting to pass the black one on the ramp but ran out of room and had to fall back in line. The black car entered the three lane roadway and stayed in the far right hand lane, the red car immediately got into the middle lane and began his pass attempt again, both cars were in full fart can song. I entered and moved over to the far left lane and proceeded to pass them both like they were standing still, my exit was coming up so after leaving them about twenty car lengths behind I slowed and exited. The grin lasted over an hour!

Nice semi-kill. Hey, Bob, are you a member over @ CF? I'm Zeevette over there too.

yeah, the honda boys with their fart cans don't like my SS round here...I tend to embarrass them quite often...

Why do I only get challenged by Cummin's trucks? Is it my name?

I try to avoid these moments but sometimes it is hard to resist. I tend to get looks from people driving tricked out ricers or cars like Neon SRT4's or VW GTI's but my favorite one was last summer when I was at a stop light and this Subaru WRX was next to me an the driver's girlfriend yelled out the Window and yelled SS stands for Super Slow. I just grinned and of course the driver floored it and I let him get the lead and then I floored mine and zipped passed him like he was hardly moving.

Wail 'til you put a stage1 kit in it..... gotta go from a roll because of severe traction issues. I really hate wheelspin on FWD. Maybe the ones optioned with the LSD are better, but mine is a real handful at low speed/on boost. Of course the crappy 4spd A/T is no help either. Man, these cars are so close to being great; just a few small changes that GM will never bother with, would make the HHR SS legendary.

I do have the stage kit and it will burn through those tires if I just punch it. Even with the Automatic Trans.

Oh believe me, I know how hard it is to resist anything with a fart can! Especially when you have the stage kit, but.....
I just think of this:

and it helps me remember the thousands of dollars I spent on attorney fees. court costs, insurance increase, etc.
