I'd love to get the Stage Kit, but my checkbook will not allow it right now.

If the HHR dies in a year or so, I'll give my SS to my daughter and get myself a new Camaro. The cost of the Stage Kit will basically cover the sales tax on the Camaro.

 

What is your sales tax? And isn't the stage kit like $600-700? In Green Bay we have .055% (half a percent is for the dang packers stadium) and my SS sales tax was higher then the stage kit and the camaro has a higher msrp.

 

NJ sales tax is around 7% (give or take depending upon municipality). I bought my car in Verona NJ and this was stated by the sales agent (I paid NY tax, since I don't live there). Tax on a stripped Camaro LS at sticker ($23k) would be around $1600 in NJ where I bought my SS and about $1250 in Green Bay where you are.

 

I would think he was being sarcastic due to GM's financial state. The stage kit was $660 for me (that's purchase of kit from crateenginedepot and installation charges from a dealer I didn't even buy the SS from, nor have any 'inside' connections with, just a normal customer. That's a bargain for a performance upgrade that doesn't void a warranty. )

 

My dealer's part department told me today that my order for the stage kit should be here, +- in 5 days.

 

I have it installed on my 09,.......Did I need it? No. Did I want it. Yes! And I am glad I did it. The power of this little beast is awesome. Get it,you wont be dissapointed. The only thing I dont like is that I cant keep nailing it!

 

My stage kit was delivered today.

Can't wait to get it installed.

 

You guys are making the Stage 1 kit very tempting. Then again, I got my daughter's tuition bill this week....

 

Buy the kit and tell her to get a part time job.

 

I know. All this talk and I want one so bad, but think I will wait until next spring. gonna save up instead of using the plastic.
