SS Lower IC Grill

So, I hit a baby deer last night. Thank God it only busted the lower grill. Does anyone have one they want to sell or have the part number for it? Also, any idea how much its gonna cost me. I tried google but can't find it. I have a 2008 HHR SS.

How about the fawn? Did it survive? I have a yard full of deer and they're almost like pets to me and the wife. Hate to see one get hit.
Sorry to hear about the car also.

Ouch, we saw a baby deer get hit early on the 4th. A bunch of people had stopped to help it. the person who hit it had some pretty dark skid marks! I don't know if the deer survived, but it was still alive when we drove by. Bummer about the grill. It is the time for adolescent animals.

No the fawn didn't make it. I know it was sad, but I think it died immediately. Something was wrong with it already. I had slowed down when I saw it and was only doing like 15 mph, but it charged the car. Head first into the grill, but thank God it didn't make it to the IC. Anyway, I appreciate the responses. I went to GMPartsDirect. THe part was $48 or something, but the shipping was like $95. That seems rediculous for a part that small and light. Guess that's how the money is made? And this was only being shipped to North Carolina. Didnt order yet, figured I would check around here first.

WOW! for $95 I'd deliver the part! Now that you have the part number, call your local dealer to see what they can get it for. Even if its $100 you still save $50. $95--I'm in the wrong business..... My 20lb Sway Bar didn't cost that much to ship from TTR

Just wanted to let anyone who sees this know. I sent message to GMPartsDirect concerning the shipping price and they immediatley responded. It was an error on the page. I ordered last night at $16.00 shipping. I just wanted to make it right. These guys really do have some prettty good prices.

I clipped a full-size deer about 6 months after I got the SS. When I got out to look, I expected substantial damage to the bumper. Somehow it survived with little more than a slight scrape that I was able to buff out. I must have slowed down just enough to make it a glancing blow instead of a full-force hit. Thank goodness for the super brakes in the SS!
