GM is providing 72 months (6 years) zero interest right now. That make buying a new one fairly attractive.

On another note, color wise, did '08 offered more color than '09?

SS For sale

I was shopping for a new SS and found the dealers in SoCal are dealing very deep. They will take $1000.00 of the window maroni and they will give $1000.00 factory rebait, plus $1500.00 GM loyaly discount for a total of $3500.00 off window sticker.

If you are looking to buy a Black SS we saw a new 08' at Weslow Chevrolet in San Juan Capistrano..........................Mofo

0% is a good deal, if your going to keep the car 20 years.

you would save maybe 5k in finance charges, if you qualify.
emphasis is on if you qualify.

The only reason I bought my HHR SS New was i got employee pricing, plus the full $3500 rebate.

That is why I'll buy a Used camaro SS, and not a new one

remember the value will drop heavily when you drive it off the lot.

Ask yours when you find one to buy.

I don't know about the LSD.
I'm not sure if it will work with the auto.
Hopefully someone in the know will enlighten us.
That's a mod worth getting real dirty for as long as it's warranty friendly.

I'm not sure it would be worth my time/money though.
I don't do much stop/start driving.
Most of the time I'm rolling & rolling & rolling...
I think it would be excellent for someone in the city that likes to race light to light or at the track.
Correct about the Brembos. If you get them as a GM part and add them to an '08, the warrantee will stand. Personally, I'm not hard on brakes, so after driving mine for 4 months, I'm not sure if I want to spend the money (I got 90k miles on a set of orig brakes on my Olds Bravada).

LSD is only available with the manual trans. It cannot be added later (unless you have thousands to spend). If you're looking at a preowned '08, check the silver glove box sticker for the RPO codes and look for G85, which is the RPO code for limited slip diff.

Not sure what you were getting at w/ the 20 yr. comment. 0% is worth it if you are going to take the entire 72 months to pay it off.

When I bought mine in april we had the choice of 0% for 36 mo or 2,500 cash back. I took the 2500 because I will have it paid of 1.5 yrs from buying it. I also got the gm employee priceing too.

Looking at the camaro huh? I will start shopping once my hhr is paid off. Havent decided on used or new. Will see when the time comes. I am interested to see if they have a 45th ann. ed. for 2012.

Also I have not seen it mentioned in this thread. (might have missed it) But if you buy a brand new car in 2009 you get a deduction for the sales tax that you paid.

If you are a person who gets new cars every few years then I would go used. Why lose all the money driving cars off the lot so often.

I would go the manual trans if I were you. For me I wanted the extra Hp and I just prefer manual transmission cars. I just put on 28,000 miles in the first year driving around metro Detroit and dont regret it one bit. The clutch take up makes this one of the easiest manual transmission cars I have driven. G.B.
