New to me 2009 HHR SS and braided brake lines

Hello all,

Just picked up a 2009 HHR SS with 10K miles and will be taking it out on the track in a couple of weeks. I am going to flush the brake fluid and wanted to look at putting in stainless steel braided brake lines. I did a search, but did not find any info. Anyone know who might be making these for this car?

I will be running Hawk HP+ pads all around.

Thanks!

Enrique

If you can find braided lines for a Cobalt check the lengths..... might be the same thing.

Worth a try, I will look for some for the Cobalt SS. Thanks!

I did a fast check and I only see a kit for the Cobalt LT and LS. These are rear drum so you would be short a line and the one for the rear would not work anyway.

Russel makes universal lines and if you have the size and type of fitting or length needed you can buy them as single preassmebled units.

If someone can give me the length and size of each line and fitting type I can get you a part number.

I could not get a number from Russell as they do not know.

I think the lines are a #3 fitting on the one end and a 10 MM banjo on the other. I have not crawled under to look so if some one knows please let me know.

Russells sells lines with the correct ends in specific lengths that will bolt on. If we know the end sizes and the lenght I can match it up. Most lines are around $27 each.

These are dot approved lines and do make a big differance on 4 wheel disc brake systems. It makes for a much firmer pedal. I have a set on my older Pontiac and love them.

It improves braking feel more than anything. It helps you modulate the pedal a little more.
