New member, just got a panel SS

Hey all.
Newbe to the forum. I just purchased a panel ss. It is red, and only has 84,000 miles. From what I've been reading, they were only made for the 2009 model year? I have seen some 2008 panel ss cars for sale. Am I to assume these were conversions?
I purchased an hhr when they first came out in 2006 (we also purchased a Trailblazer ss at the same time). I bought the hhr for the wife to drive her 50mi round trip to work, and still have room for the baseball mom stuff. She didn't really like the way the hhr looked (I thought it was cool as hell! Lol), so we ended up trading it in on an H3 Hummer Alpha 6 months later. Even after driving from NC, to Cooperstown NY and back, I thought it was a great little car, and have kinda wanted one ever since. Thought the panels were really cool when they came out, but didn't know they made an SS version until recently.
Anyway, cool site. Look forward to learning the ins and outside of them here in the future!

Yes. Only 216 Panel SSes made, and only in 2009.
Anything else is a "conversion."

Please post pictures when you can, we all love to look at these objects of our obsession.

Welome to the site.
Nice find.
No offense but what is that chrome "bling" on the grille bar ? Really does not look good there.

Ya, it has lots of chrome additions. Not my thing really. Will be removing all of them them soon. It has just about every chrome ad on you could purchase. Was owned by an elderly gentlemen who recently passed away.
