Just picked up a 09 SS with just over 60k on her, should arrive sometime tomorrow.. Have a 06 HHR LT with 196k as a daily driver. Been wanting an SS for awhile. Picked this one up in Illinois having it shipped to east Tn...

Had a guy on the corvette forum swing by and check it out for me. No blemishes, no wheel rash, non smoker, foil on bowties perfect, said it was a sweetheart....

Hopefully I want have the dreaded ABS/TC issue like on my LT

Nice SS, what ABS/TC issues? Any codes? What has been inspected?

It is an HHR and, not being a hater since i own and LOVE mine, there will be something wrong. Luckily most things are easy to fix, but the SS is just a tad more of a beast; both in performance and general maintenance. Fortunately, Most of the HHR SS's were bought by calmer, "older" (no offense) people, who dont beat on them in the same way say a COBALT SS would be beat on. Even so, there are many high mileage Cobalt SS (both turbo and Supercharged) out there, meaning that the LNF is a reliable platform.

Welcome!

"dreaded ABS/TC"? You mean the VVT valves? Should have joined us earlier.

Not sure, I did come on here and looked around 2-3 years ago and seemed like there were several with this issue. The ABS/TC lights come on and stay. Guys were having stuff replaced and they were still ON. I can't tell anything is wrong. Sometimes I'll start it and they are on then cut it back off and then restart and they'll be off. They are ON now. It will go months sometimes with them off. They are actually both ON now...Been that way for over a month. I remember one tread just said to disconnect the battery overnite, one said pull some fuse. I can't remember. When I get time was going to do a search again here now since I joined...

You're welcome, it could be simple, loose wires, loose grounds, VVT Solenoids.
