New rotors and tires!

Had lots of fun last weekend upgrading my brakes. Installed ceramic pads and new drilled/slotted rotors all around! I always liked my painted rotors, but after 3 years they started to bubble around the edges and just didn't look as clean as the year before.

I was also tired of cleaning brake dust constantly, so I had to go with ceramic pads. Very happy so far! Put Wagner Thermo Quiet up front and Duralast Gold pads on rear. The rotors were E-Bay specials, but so far I'm real happy with them. They run real true and seem to have quality machining and zinc plating on them.

I put the Nitto 555 245/40/18 ZR tires on a week or so back and have been real happy with them also. They look great and stick to the road like glue!

Not the greatest finished pics, but I want to get it cleaned and waxed good for some new beauty shots...

very pretty sight.
I was interested your calipers. I think it's regular calipers and you paint them red. It looks brutal, I do not mind doing the same thing with my calipers. But I do not want to artisanal conspicuous. I can not stand "rural tuning." Your calipers have noble appearance, if you're really doing it in the garage - please technology.

Thanks all, I appreciate the nice comments!

geg,
Yes I did paint the calipers myself about 3 years ago. It has held up very well over the time and miles I put on the vehicle. It was actually the 1st modification I did on the car and was very easy. Here is the link to the original post where I described that process... Good luck!

I should do that caliper paint to my red SS. Oh, wait, I have chrome smoothies, so no one would know except me

Where did you get the little flames for the SS on the doors? Is that a decal or custom paint? I'd love to do that.

Yes, but you would get a warm fuzzy feeling every time you thought about those nice red calipers lurking back there behind your caps!

The flames are a 3D decal I got at an auto parts store. They were on a close-out rack for like $2 ea. and I couldn't resist!
