No discussion here. I just wanted to post up my scan of the brochure. I cleaned it up a bit with photoshop.

Hi-Res available upon request. Just private message me with your email address. Just to let you know, the hi-res image shows more grain because of the print.

Nicely done!
PM on the way! |
That's cool. Looks even better when sharp.

PM'd ya!

I just HAD to go back and fix my old crappy scan with your nice one.
Here it is in Velocity Yellow... Maybe as a retro color it would be called HHOT ROD YELLOW! http://www.chidesigners.com/hosting/YellowHHRSS.jpg GM.... to paraphrase Kevin Costner, if you make it we will come! |
I enlarged the scan a little in photoshop, well a lot actually and lightened the details. From this view it sure looks like it has a normal armrest, no?
This is why there is no leather option, they look like Recaro-style seats. http://www.chidesigners.com/hosting/Eng_Int.jpg |

I'm not surprised that it does not have a center arm rest. My best friend has a 2007 Cobalt SS; it doesn't have a center arm rest either. It must have something to do with the seats being wider or the shifter being in a different position. With 260 HP, I'm sure I'll want to keep both hands on the wheel anyway...

Heres what GM sent me in a Email today:
No plans have been announced to produce an HHR SS. The website “chevyhhr.net” is not maintained by General Motors. Thus, General Motors is not responsible for the content of the website. Although literature is not available at this time, we have processed a request to receive product information regarding the 2008 HHR. Once this information is available, you should receive it. The HHR was scheduled to begin production on June 25, 2007. Vehicles generally begin arriving at dealers about 6 to 8 weeks later. Please keep in mind that production dates are preliminary and subject to change. Your preferred Chevrolet dealership is in the best position to advise you of when the 2008 HHR will be available in your area. The Chevrolet website should be updated with 2008 HHR information on August 28, 2007. We recommend you periodically check for updates on the website listed below. Once the HHR is available, contact your local dealer to schedule a test drive. If you are not familiar with one in your area, you may locate one at the website below. On the homepage, you will click on the Locate Dealer link. At Chevrolet, we strive to provide outstanding customer service. If we can be of any further assistance, please email us or call 1-800-950-2438 between the hours of 8:00 am to 11:00 pm Eastern Time, seven days a week. Thank you for contacting Chevrolet. Sincerely, The Chevrolet Marketing Team http://www.chevrolet.com/ |
so.... what's the deal? GM is saying that they have no plans to produce an SS? I call BS on that! In other words, someone faked the whole brochure in photoshop?

All they said was "No plans have been announced to produce an HHR SS. " We all know how this goes, as long as it's not announced, it doesn't exist until its announced. |

They are supposed to have more lateral support verses the standard seats. |

You know, if we didn't have several different threads regarding the same thing, we could consolidate information and prevent redundancies.
Anyway.....the seats look remarkably familar. Probably from another GM vehicle and upholstered differently. Edit....actually they look like earlier Lumina seats, with a different head rest. |

The quote was "The Chevrolet website should be updated with 2008 HHR information on August 28, 2007". "Should" is not "will". He shared what he was supposedly told. Things change.
