New YouTube Channel for my SS Build

I've decided to start a channel documenting the build process of my SS. So many vloggers with "typical" cars - why not one for the SS?!?

Check out the intro video doing a walk around of the car!

Nice work, Nick! That was tricky at the beginning, I was thinking, wait.... why are the bumpers wrong? Lol, One thing jumped out at me, the Brembo option was RPO J56, which I think was available with auto also(not 100% sure). It was RPO G85, LSD, that required a manual trans. Love the stuff from Altered Ego.

Heyyyy another 20 something that is into hhrs!! That makes two of us lmfaooo. Seriously though nice work! Subbed!

drummerboy0088 07-14-2017 07:17 PM

Thanks guys! This is my dream car so it isn't going anywhere.

Oldblue 07-14-2017 07:18 PM

Nice! Very cool!

Nice video! Look forward to seeing more about your build. I just had ZZP put on a catted downpipe, intake, GMS1 sensors, and one of their tunes. I am amazed at how much the car woke up and improved from these small and easy changes. Makes me wonder what else this little car is capable of.

BLKHHRSS 07-15-2017 01:28 PM

Thanks for the video, awesome walk around info view.

Blue_SS 07-16-2017 05:45 PM

Nice work. The opening segment had me about to hit my screen, though...

Good luck with it. I suspect drivetrain loss will result in a lower number at the wheels once you dyno than you suggest, but still you got all the LDK improvements.

And, this is driveable whenever you wish. No race fuel, NO2, etc.

Nice job!

That's awesome! I'm looking into their 3" catless downpipe

What is suppose to be a routine car show prep, turns into a project.

Post a contrast video of your LT servicing the MAF... MUCH different experience. #racecarproblems

aradmahogany 07-17-2017 01:24 PM

Also, If I ever see you wash that car again with only one bucket and wash mit without a proper towel dry I WILL come take your SS into protective custody :P

Haha GoPro battery died before I got to the towel dry (microfiber towels, BTW). This ain't no drip dry car!

Oldblue 07-18-2017 11:11 AM

You still use water? Only after a rain maybe. But for the most part, California duster, detailer, spray wax, buff. I use Maguiar's products and microfibre cloths

That's exactly it OldBlue! Last time I had the car out it rained.

I'm a fan of the duster, and turtle wax black box quick detailer and spray wax. Always use microfiber cloths and towels.

Can't wait to get it paint corrected and ceramic coated.

Oldblue 07-18-2017 11:14 AM

Ceramic coated? Your paint? I've claybared but , don't know about ceramic coating.

Yep! It's a paint protectant. You can literally pour water on the car and watch it bead right off. Great idea for a show car like my SS.

Oldblue 07-18-2017 05:24 PM

You mean like this product?

Ceramic Pro - Get Detailed

Yeah. There's a few companies that make it. CQuartz is pretty popular company who makes it too.

There's a local shop who does paint correction and ceramic coating, so once I'm done ripping the front bumper on and off for different mods, I'm getting it done on the SS.

Oldblue 07-19-2017 11:16 AM

We'll need before and after pics! Or a how to video!

RJ_RS_SS_350 07-19-2017 11:31 AM

You could maybe turn the music down just a bit. You have an awesome brother to help you out like that, you ought to introduce him next vid.

When it's time to get it done, I'll probably have a local shop do it. I'm not sure if I trust myself with the application.

Noted - will consider it for next time.

I asked my brother, but he didn't want to be introduced. He's the one who did all the work for the LDK swap. If I tell him the guys on the forum want me to introduce him, he might agree to it next time!
