That's a hit and run, and in Md. at least, Is not chargeable against your policy. Getting a police report should help, but may not be necessary.

ya but deductible still chargeable

The hit and run was 200, whereas my comprehensive was 250. The repair was noted, but not a detriment on my policy. I just went through one with my Avalanche......then as I was picking up the keys it got hit (scraped) again.

yea on the deductible....be prepared to bend over for the insurance company I'm sure it was an act of god or some stipulation or policy....

im pretty sure my comp ded. is $1k (i should know better im an insurance agent) but i hadnt got a chance to lower the ded. yet

I just hate how you pay for "insurance" and the only thing your are really covered for is if you are at fault...this act of god/no fault crap is for the birds...my mom looked into flood insurance for her house(we live near a pretty big creek that floods sometimes) and the only thing we could get would only cover hurricane floods...IN BUFFALO????? what hurricanes?
