Going for it!

After giving it much thought, decided to go for it...ordered my 2013 Inferno Orange ZL1 a few days ago, 6 speed manual, with sunroof and bright rims. Loved every minute with my SS, no complaints about it whatsoever, but like I said, the ZL1 is my dream car...plan on keeping it forever!

Of all of the cars I've owned to date, this one was the best...the most fun and the best bang for the buck. I'm glad I still get to drive it for a while longer. May even already have a buyer, he's thinking it over. But very happy to be staying within the Chevrolet family...

Congratz on your order. I personally would go for an older late 60's Camaro that was turned pro street (old body, modern performance and handling underneath).

I'm sure you'll love the car, it's something you worked hard to acquire. I love my old vette ('78 blown. pro street), even though money is not in the cards right now to keep modding it, so it waits in the garage for when the money tree sprouts up again. L88 quarter panels and custom 69 rear end are waiting at a shipping dock to be shipped to me, when I can muster the funds.

Just today i was at a ford lot in Orlando Florida looking at a 08 Mustang Gt, the sales manager offered me $6,750 for my SS HHR. Mine does have 80k and some mods on it which i realize doesnt do much in the dealers eyes. My cars also a 5spd which knocked off $800 right there. To me based on what i paid for my SS when i bought it and the fact its still super sharp and fun to drive killed the whole idea for me. I realize used cars dont hold value atm but imma keep mine till it breaks apart Blue's Brothers style

Don't blame you for keeping it under the circumstances. You are right, it is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. I don't have one single bad word to say about mine. I had plenty for my PT Cruiser GT.

My dealer is actually being quite reasonable with me (51600 mi right now, will probably be around 55k or so when I trade it in, if I can't sell it). But I'm really hoping to sell it.

Congrats on the new Camaro. My wife's cousin has a 2010 Camaro 1SS in orange, that he's trying to sell for around $28K. Since my HHR SS already has 81K miles, it isn't worth too much, so I'd be looking at shelling out a net of $20K to own the Camaro. Granted, that car has very few miles on it, but I just couldn't see spending the $20K for a car that is much more powerful, but much worse on MPG and certainly nowhere as versatile as the HHR SS.
