man I'm having the same damn issues. i have new stage 3 map sensors coming along with the tune from ZZP. i bought the car recently with 152k on it. bought a new MAF and it is still doing it. new filter as well. SPectre from advance. i have a fake CAI. essentially the stock MAF housing with the filter stuck on sitting just over the valve cover. it was fine when i bought it but i sprayed under the hood with a pressure washer from the car wash and this **** started and won't go away. i took off all the connectors and sprayed them with compressed air in all the areas i washed. still no luck.

Water got into some connector. Are you looking at the MAF or the TMAP? If the car has the Stage 1 GMTU upgrade installed there are a couple of places to look, like the TMAP connector banging into the AC compressor and if the wiring harness was soldered and sealed or just crimped.

Water got into a connector in the harness, which would short out the signal and fry something or other. I do not recommend pressure washing near the electrical connections, nasty things can happen.

So you sprayed high pressure water all over, with an open element air cleaner. I don't see where you tried a new filter.

I am getting the mass airflow sensor cold but for some reason it clears and then comes right back. I was looking at a few other videos were people have the same issue and they cleaned the throttlebody as well. I am just going to hope that it dries up and get me back to normal. This is getting really old.

You might need to take it apart, let it air dry, then reassemble. But there might still be electrical damage from the water!

ZZPerformance has a Stage 3 kit for turbo Cobalt’s and Ion’s maybe they are in that kit, but would really still be the Stage 1 sensors from Bosch.
