It is clearly stated GM as an option and you do get the storage back if you don't purchase it.

What it was in my case was I almost waited till the 09's came out just to be able to order the performance dash. Now that I have seen it and were it is mounted the discount, and storage unit ment more to me than the dash.

My whole Idea was if I had followed my original plan it was to wait for the 09 just order the performance dash.

It would have been foolish to wait for an 09 order without the dash when I could just buy the same 08 SS with a year end clearance prices that saved me a lot of money.

The only reason I would have waited for the 09 is to get the dash.

 

i just got somemore bad news. my TPW just got pushed back another 4 weeks. now my build week is 09/29/08. you guys with the UAF performance display option might want to look at your TPW again. i am betting that we all got pushed back again.

I was told yesterday that my build date is the week of 9/22 so it sounds about right. Wonder if it's something they can ship to dealer afterwards and have the dealer install so we can enjoy our cars? I'm guessing a data cable (Doubt it's 2 way communication) and push it on a couple plastic hooks?

Hey man, thats not funny. That is the Cobalt display mounted on the pillar. That is not the HHR SS display.

 

A dealer about 20 min. from me just got in a Cobalt SS with a performance display I am going to try to get out there and try it out... :)
