anyone popped the rev. limiter on a stock ss??? what happend???

 

What does "popped" mean? I hit it pretty regularly in first and second. It limits revs.

edit: I have the HRC tune.

 

It quits accelerating. Happens all the time cause I'm too slow out of first!

 

never mind. i know what happens when you hit the limiter. just trying to solve my no boost problem.

 

I've heard of a few that have had tube/hose/connection issues with the turbo to intercooler piping. Maybe you have a leak there, or your bypass is sticking open?

 

I hit it pretty bad one day and the CEL flashed for a couple seconds, is that normal?

 

you wont boost more than 3 or 4psi in first because if it would spike to 15 you would lose traction completely. It does that on purpose.. 1st gear 3-4 psi and then 2nd about 10-12psi and 3rd, 4th and 5th goes all the way... at least in my car
