As for production numbers, I think the run just ended so it may take a while to get the numbers out. |

from what I understand, they manufacture a model year up until April/Mayish and use the summer to retool and ramp up the next model year for September sale.

I think GM's changeover is in August-ish. Maybe they moved it. If 2010 is the last year, they could be planning to end production in July-August.

Change over in most GM plants is in Early July. Order usally need to be in around May. In the past the HHR has changed last week of June and started up the second week of July.
Numbers may be available around Aug-Sept if you can get the right person. I would be suprised if they reach 1,000. And no since they are just alike to the 09-08 with only a few less options they will not be instant collector cars, only time will tell. Demand in the future will determine that. I suspect in 25 years a SS panel may be a hard to find item and the price may rise. A lot depends on what we are driving by then too. I will see if I can get the numbers later this year. Note the odd thing is I saw numbers for the HHR and the Cobalr SS was built in less numbers. I was suprised to see that if the numbers were correct. The Turbo Sedan is their Panel as there were only hundreds built. |

Bottom line is unless you discover the fountain of life, enjoy your HHR SS Panel. Don't save it for a couple of bucks for someone else to beat on. It's too nice of a vehicle. |

Rise from what? You may be able to get a small profit taking into account inflation, but you'll never get rich. I have two 23 year old mint vehicles bought new. Everyone wants them (that I come in contact with at meets), I can get good money for them, but what's good money? 10K? If it were 50K, maybe things would be different, but probably not. You only go around once. I doubt that an SS panel will ever have the reverence of a Shelby GT 500 or Yenko Camaro anyway and if I owned either one, I'd be driving them as well.

I disagree with you, 219 SS panels ever made, they will be worth money. The only question is how much time it will take before they start going up in value..
