i agree that gm should have made a better cover for it. i also think it is in the best location for visibility. when i get mine, i will fabricate a better cover/mount for it. when done, it will look like a factory install. well, better than a factory install...

 

Agreed. the screen is too small for such a big area. they should have put it on the a-pillar like the cobalt

Yeah, it doesn't look near as bad in the shot from the farthest away.

 

It looks like it should be angled a little more to the driver and not so straight forward.

I am glad I did not wait. I am a little disapointed in how it turned out.

With my scan meter installed all I am missing is the colorful graphics.

I think I would miss the storage more in the dash now that I am using it.

 

there is one reason why this is better than all of the aftermarket gauges. it has a warranty. the RPD is over 25 gauges in one. it is a:

laterial G-force
left G-force
right G-force
maximum G-force
shift light
gear indicator
individual wheel tire pressures
Barometer
outside air temp
battery voltage
coolant temp
air inlet temp
fuel pressure

plus the following indicators:

stabilitrak, traction control, ESC, competition driving mode, and launch mode

 

Yikes, that is one ugly looking piece of plastic. I like the storage bin better...

GM = fail on this option....

Looks like some tacked on accessory from the mid 70's.
I'd rather keep the bin and have aereoforce gauge.
