Congrats on the new purchase.

Now ditch the 3.31 rear ratio and install some 3.73's. Simple mod. Will really wake up the V6.

I'm curious, how does the acceleration compare with your Stage 1 SS?
My SS was stock. No stage 1. The Mustang would walk away from the HHR stock for stock IMO. Not to much going on below 3K rpms in the stang but between 3K and 7K rpms it pulls like a freight train.

This car is night and day better than the HHR SS in just about every way so far.

When it comes time to do gears it would get 4.10's. It will get gears, driveshaft and a tune at the same time. That is a ways off though.

Hey nothing wrong with going with another car.
I am like others on here I do like the idea I only see an SS other than mine maybe twice a year.
But I am also seeing more modded hhr ls and lts which is cool since they are like streetrods you can mod them the way you want.
anyhow performance wise vs a v6 mustang would be interesting.
Pretty positive since the ss is near 1 g in handling the mustang would be off there
not sure what the mustang runs in the quarter but I would think stock vs stock might be close. high 14's
braking I would think is close as well
either way good luck higgy make sure you keep posting
speaking of v6 power
I was at the track the end of the season last year and I see the stock camaros running high 13's to low 14's with a v8
met up and pitted next to a guy with a v6 camaro trifecta tune running 14.0- 14 teens
pretty cool that he was running near the v8s
but the guy I met up with at Pinks all out 2 years back with the v8 camaro
stock with headers a cam and sticky tires and a tune running high 11's was awesome.
oops sorry getting off the subject.
anyhow keep us posted with the info
I would keep the gears and put a tune on it or better yet Nitrous
but thats just my opinion.More bang for the buck

Good luck with your new Mustang. You'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

In my case, my company gave me a new Ford Fusion V6. I used to use my SS for business. Since it's their dime, I wasn't complaining, but now that I'm used to it as a daily driver, I've found that it's actually fun to drive and the quality of the build is much better than I would have imagined. Although a front runner, it's easy to spin rubber off of the tires and the 6 speed click shifter on the floor shift stalk makes for a sport feel.

I kept my SS and it is now delegated to weekends and nice days, but if I were considering a purchase for another personal vehicle, I'd definitely have a long hard look at the Mustang V6. Alot of nice car for the $$.
