38,400 mostly trouble free miles! pruchased 1/15/08

replaced brake pads
GM brake fix
Tuned GMPP
and one complete fuel system flush(some really bad gas)
Bump on the tires! great tread wear considering the way I drive!

I just can't wait till I can take 'er off the road for a year or two and really get some deep mods..... chopped, dropped, and swapped!

50K last week, the Michellins are done, I have Continental ExtreemContact DWS's that should be here this weekend. They have the highest tire rating for a 225/45/18 on Tire Rack and have a 50K warranty. I'm sure there are stickier tires out there but If I can go 100K on 2 sets of tires I'll be happy. BTW the DWS's are on national backorder but I found some in Lubbock that even with shipping I can have installed, ballanced + Tax for under $800.

Still loving my SS and getting a minimum of 28.5 mpg on every tank is a bonus to it being very fun to drive.

Wow - you got 50K miles out of the OEM tires? I'm figuring on replacing at 40K. How much do the OEM tires cost to replace?

As amazed as I am, I am at 17k with my Michelin's and I can see them easily hitting 30k with the wear they show today.

Of course with my luck the wear will accelerate now that I said that. But I don't do any burn outs. tire chirps (intentionally) or extreme driving. If anything, the edges will go from all of the mountain driving I do.

I hear ya' bro. Just turned 15k troublefree miles and the Mich's still look new. Mountain driving and all... I sometimes get a torque squeal out of 1st or 2nd. But I have similar luck as you. We'll see and compare notes up the road...

Right around 17K, and I have accumulated that in less than a year. Driving this piece of heaven still puts a huge smile on my face.

The stock tires are not too bad for wear, I'm tuned and spin 2nd gear ALOT. The fronts just got switched to the back as they are at about 1/32 tread lol. The rears are good and now on the front until I find some DWS contis in 245/40/18 which are on back order til 5/14 on tirerack, and they raised the price $20/tire since they've been on back order.

Had the Continental DWS's put on today. The Michelin's had 50,700 on them and were just at the wear indicators. The OEM tires are $138 on TireRack. At least that is what I recall. The DWS's are the highest rated according to buyer reviews. They are rated at 540 A A and a 50K warranty, which is nearly impossible to collect on these days anyway.

I have only about 15 miles on them and honestly I was not impressed on the short drive. I bought these from an independant shop in a small town and they honestly don't have the best help working there. I made sure they ballanced out OK but as I drove away they ranged from 38 to 44 lbs of air pressure. The should have been all at 32 - 33. So I set them at 33 when I got home and will see what I think on the 42 mile trip to work in the morning. The only reason I went with the DWS's was because they are supposed to have a softer, quiter ride without loosing any cornering or traction performance. We will see. I was perfectly happy with the OEM tires and will go back to them if the DWS' don't get the 50K I'm looking for out of them. At my rate of mileage that will be 2 years.

I'm only a couple of hundred miles off a 50k. I too have lasted this long on the OEM Tires. I was surprised and happy to get this many miles off of them. It's my Daily driver and I like to use all the performance this car has got. I'm not saving it for anyone else. All and all I've only needed a couple of tweeks mostly with the Performance upgrade Installed ~17K (First in R.I.). Just the A/C clearance and connectors needing to be replaced. Of all the cars I have owned she's been my favorite and growing up a car dealers son I've owned a lot.
