Thanks Dennis,
I was wondering this because when I stopped and looked at the fan with no a/c at 205 deg it wasn't spinning all that fast. And the info you provided tells me why. 205= 32% THANKS AGAIN!

I know what people say and I have read that my 205 is OK..... BUT THE CURIOSITY IS KILLING ME! :) I did buy a new AC Delco thermostat from the GM dealer and bought the new Dexcool. I'm pretty sure neither have ever been changed. So its a win-win. My 07 LT T-stat went out last month - and my neighbors LS T-stat went 4 months prior.

Did you just ask for "a t-stat for my car" or did you get a ACD 131-158/GM 12622410. They will usually give you the cheap one if you don't specify.

The 12T103D is the inexpensive piece, you want the 131158 AC Delco .

I seen the price on-line for $34. Was at the Dealer and I told the parts guy to grab it (had only one in stock). He told me to check out at the window. She rang me up and said $57. I said WOW shouldn't be more like $34ish? She said Its reg $84 you got the discount. I figured Last one and I knew what Im getting so I paid.

Talking

Hello,
I didn't fly up to DTW today because of the storm. So I decided tackled the thermostat and coolant change.

The thermostat I took out looked generic. It was stamped with STC 180 ? The fluid looked a bit weak but was not low.
In with the new AC Delco stat and fresh Dex-Cool the burping procedures done I went on the exact run as before. It was the same temp outside 50* for six miles.
I can happily say.... ITS FIXED!!!!! The temp was steady at 189* the entire trip.
I let it cool down did the 2nd Burp on it. It took some fluid and the 2nd run was 189* out and 187* back. 18* cooler now. The same temp as my 2.4L LT.

The SS was at the dealer for a front end alignment and I told them about the temp. They fixed the alignment and stated the 205* was normal?
I'm glad I followed my instinct on this.
Thank you everyone!

Also my GM Turbo Upgrade Kit arrived today. :)
