Husky Liners. I've had them in my last 3 vehicles. They catch all the debris and liquids. Easy clean up. Good fit. There's a pic in my gallery(yeah,a little dirt in the picture)

You can also get the all weather mats from the dealer. A little pricey but I love mine.

The Huskys and Weathertechs are good and I have used them in other cars and still do.

The one I use in the HHR is the Nifty Products catch all floor protectors.

These are made of the same color carpet as the HHR has and is molded to the floor of the vehicle.

They catch all slop and to clean them all you need to to is pull them out hose them off and let them dry.

Installed most people will not even notice them. They are by far the best slop and dirt solution for any winter use. In fact I use mine year round.

The only thing wrong with them is that they are not available for all cars. They do make them for the HHR in three colors. THey also make specific ones for the front seat back seat and cargo area. you can by as a set or pairs.

Here is a link on what all is available for the HHR. The photo's will show what they look like. They are not just mats but liners for the whole footwell.

Note they also make them in plastic too if you do not want carpet.
