Tell the dealer to get you a new one if they don't comply then lawyer up. I would also threaten to make a nice lemon sign for the car with the dealers name on it to drive around town, well that is when it runs.

You may want to go ahead and retain him to help you deal with the Lemon process. Dealerships have lawyers of their own and frequently shred nasty grams from lawyers who happen to be friends of disgruntled customers. From what I read on those links, you're eventually going to have to go through an administrative hearing process if the dispute resolution step doesn't work. It's an awkward enough process for lawyers and being a private citizen it's probably going to be very difficult for you to get anywhere without one.

Full disclosure: I am a lawyer but I *only* practice criminal law, and I would hire one myself that deals with administrative law proceedings on a regular basis. The traditional rules of evidence and civil procedure usually do not apply in ALJ hearings in most places and you need someone who is prepared to deal with that if arbitration fails. I'm pretty sure you'll do fine in arbitration given how young the vehicle is, but it never hurts to be safe

Need a better dealership... purchased a tahoe hybrid for the wife 6 weeks ago.. after about 1000 miles the suv just died (would not start/turn over).. the dealership sent a flatbed with a new tahoe for exchange on a saturday morning.. they were at the house in 45 minutes after i called them and we used the new tahoe at no charge for 4 days

Good luck with the lemon law thing.
What he said...

Im not going to name the dealership just yet Im going to see what happens first and how they handle this problem. The Customer relations Manager at GM Corporate office has put papers in to try and get me a new vehicle. She said that she would have an answer within 72 hours which workday hours would be no latter than Wednesday. After talking to her several times I feel that they are going to give me a new car (I HOPE).

Bummer about your bad luck. Keep all your records precisely and timelines, read up on lemon laws, as soon as you qualify, demand your refund or new vehicle. Our neighbor got a 100% refund on a BMW 540, but it took 8 months of repair attempts (funky electronics). We had 2 BMW's that were flawless to 200,000 miles each, and our 325 is still perfect at 70,000 miles. I have had near perfect luck with all the Chevys we have owned, so bad luck can happen with any make.
